Description-
Grizzly bears mate in late May or June. They have a delayed implantation meaning that the fetus will reabsorb into the uterus if the mother doesn’t gain enough weight to have the baby. They must be a healthy weight to ensure that the baby will be healthy since they will be hibernating all throughout the winter and will lose a lot of weight. When they wake from hibernation in January or February they have the cub. Their gestation period is about 7 months, or between 180-250 days.
