Problems That Could Occur

Common issues that could occur while the expecting grizzly bear is in labor are that the amniotic fluid could be released prior to labor which could cause premature delivery, jeopardize the cub's lung development, and put the fetus at risk for infection.

Amniotic fluid has many purposes including protecting the fetus from sudden movements, helps symmetrical musculoskeletal development, and protect the fetus from heat loss. So the can put the cub in jeopardy if the fluid is lost before labor as well as creating more possible problem after delivery.
